It supports students who have passed their XII class or equivalent and have secured admission into first-year degree courses including general degree, technical, and professional programs.

Who is eligible?

• Must be a domicile of any North Eastern State (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, or Tripura).
• Must have passed Class XII or equivalent from a recognized board.
• Must have secured admission in the first year of any degree course (General, Technical, or Professional).
• Annual family income must not exceed INR 4.5 lakh per annum from all sources.
• Transgender students are also eligible to apply.
• Students pursuing courses through Open Universities or distance learning are not eligible.

How much money?

As per latest notification, verify on official portal (Historically, the range has been approximately INR 5,400 per month for General Degree courses and INR 7,800 per month for Technical/Professional courses).

2. Income Certificate issued by the designated state authority.

4. Admission Proof/Bonafide Certificate from the current institution.

2. Register as a new user to generate a unique Application ID and Password.
3. Log in and select 'UGC Schemes' from the category list.
