What is this scheme?
MSME ZED is a holistic certification process consisting of Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels. It incentivizes MSMEs to adopt sustainable technology and quality management systems. The scheme works on the principle of 'Zero Defect' (quality-focused manufacturing) and 'Zero Effect' (eliminating negative impacts on the environment).
Who is eligible?
- All MSMEs registered with the Udyam Portal are eligible.
- Manufacturing units belonging to Micro, Small, or Medium categories.
- Units must have a valid Udyam Registration Number.
- Units must be willing to undergo assessment for pollution control and quality management.
How much money?
The scheme offers subsidies on certification costs: 80% for Micro, 60% for Small, and 50% for Medium Enterprises. Additionally, an extra 10% subsidy is provided for MSMEs owned by Women/SC/ST entrepreneurs or those located in NER/Himalayan/LWE/Island territories.
