What is this scheme?

Who is eligible?
- An artisan or craftsperson working with hands and tools in one of the 18 identified traditional trades.
- Minimum age of 18 years on the date of registration.
- The beneficiary should not have availed loans under similar credit-based schemes (e.g., PMEGP, PM SVANidhi, Mudra) in the past 5 years.
- Registration and benefits are restricted to one member of a family (husband, wife, and unmarried children).
- Persons in government service and their family members are not eligible.
How much money?
A total loan amount of up to ₹3,00,000 provided in two tranches: ₹1,00,000 (First Tranche with 18 months repayment) and ₹2,00,000 (Second Tranche with 30 months repayment) at a concessional interest rate of 5%. Additionally, a ₹15,000 toolkit e-voucher is provided.

How to apply (step by step)
- Visit the official PM Vishwakarma portal at pmvishwakarma.gov.in.

- Submit the application for a three-step verification: Gram Panchayat/ULB level, District Implementation Committee, and Screening Committee.
- Upon successful verification, download the PM Vishwakarma Digital ID and Certificate.
- Apply for Basic Skill Training (5-7 days). Once training starts, you become eligible for the toolkit incentive.
- After basic training completion, apply for the first tranche of the collateral-free loan.
