What is this scheme?

It aims to provide end-to-end support to traditional craftspersons, including recognition through a PM Vishwakarma Certificate and ID card, basic and advanced skill training, a toolkit incentive of ₹15,000, and collateral-free enterprise development loans amounting to ₹3 lakh at a concessional interest rate.

Who is eligible?

• An artisan or craftsperson working with hands and tools in one of the 18 identified traditional trades.
• Minimum age of the applicant must be 18 years on the date of registration.
• The applicant should not have availed loans under similar credit-based schemes (e.g., PMEGP, PM SVANidhi, Mudra) in the past 5 years.
• Registration and benefits are restricted to only one member per family.
• Persons in government service and their family members are not eligible.

How much money?

The scheme offers a toolkit incentive of ₹15,000 (e-voucher). Credit support includes a first tranche of up to ₹1,00,000 and a second tranche of up to ₹2,00,000 with a concessional interest rate of 5%.

How to apply (step by step)

4. Wait for a three-tier verification process: Gram Panchayat/ULB level, District Implementation Committee, and Screening Committee.
5. Once verified, download the PM Vishwakarma Digital ID and Certificate.
6. Apply for Basic Skill Training (5-7 days) to become eligible for the toolkit incentive and first loan tranche.
