How much money?
The maximum project cost is Rs. 50 lakh for the manufacturing sector and Rs. 20 lakh for the service sector. The subsidy ranges from 15% to 25% for the general category and 25% to 35% for special categories (SC/ST/OBC/Minorities/Women/Ex-servicemen/Physically handicapped/NER/Hill and Border areas).

How to apply (step by step)
- Visit the official PMEGP e-Portal website.
- Select the 'Online Application Form for Individual' or 'Non-Individual' as per requirement.

- Upload the required documents such as Aadhaar, Project Report, and Caste Certificate.
- Submit the final application and save the Application ID for tracking purposes.
- The application is reviewed by DLTFC (District Level Task Force Committee) and forwarded to the bank.
- Bank sanctions the loan and the entrepreneur undergoes EDP training (Entrepreneurship Development Programme).
- After successful training and verification, the Margin Money (subsidy) is released to a separate account.
