The SAMRIDH (Start-up Accelerator of MeitY for Product Innovation, Development, and Growth) scheme is a flagship initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). What is this scheme?

The SAMRIDH scheme is designed to support 300 software product start-ups by providing them with a platform for scaling their operations. Unlike direct grant schemes, SAMRIDH works through a collaborative model where MeitY selects existing private and public accelerators. These accelerators are then tasked with providing mentorship, investor connects, and domestic/international market access. Who is eligible?

• The start-up must be incorporated as a private limited company in India.
• The start-up must have a software product at the core of its business.
• The start-up should have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and some initial customer traction.
• For Accelerators: Must be in the business of incubation/acceleration for at least 3 years.
• For Accelerators: Must have supported at least 50 start-ups, with at least 10 achieving follow-on funding.

How much money?

The scheme provides matching funding of up to ₹40 Lakhs per start-up, based on the current valuation and investment provided by the accelerator. Accelerators receive grants to manage the cohort and provide services.

How to apply (step by step)

4. Submit a detailed application including product demos and scaling plans to the specific accelerator's call for applications.
5. Shortlisted start-ups undergo a rigorous screening and pitching session before a selection committee.
6. Selected start-ups enter the acceleration program and receive the investment and mentorship.
