What is this scheme?
The scheme provides a framework to nudge MSMEs to reduce wastages, increase productivity, and enhance environmental consciousness. It categorizes MSMEs into three levels—Bronze, Silver, and Gold—based on their compliance with quality and sustainability parameters. Certified units receive financial assistance, preferential lending, and international recognition.
Who is eligible?
- Must be a registered MSME with a valid Udyam Registration.
- Open to all manufacturing sector MSMEs.
- Applicable to both micro, small, and medium enterprises as defined by the MSME Act.
- The unit must be operational and willing to undergo the ZED assessment process.
How much money?
Subsidy on cost of certification: Micro Enterprises (up to 80%), Small Enterprises (up to 60%), and Medium Enterprises (up to 50%). Additional 10% subsidy for women/SC/ST owned MSMEs and those in NER/Himalayan/LWE regions. A limited-time incentive may offer 100% subsidy for 'Bronze' level certification as per the latest government notification.
