Atal Innovation Mission (AIM)

The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) is a flagship initiative by NITI Aayog aimed at creating and promoting an ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship across India. The scheme provides substantial financial support through various sub-programs like Atal Incubation Centres (AICs) and Atal Community Innovation Centres (ACICs) to foster world-class startups. It also includes the Atal New India Challenge (ANIC) which provides grants to startups developing technology-based solutions for national social challenges. The mission focuses on creating infrastructure for research and development, providing mentorship, and offering funding to bridge the gap between ideation and commercialization. By supporting incubators and providing seed funding to startups, AIM seeks to generate employment and modernize Indian industry through disruptive technological interventions and sustainable business models.
