Digital India GENESIS (Gen-next Support for Innovative Startups) is a national deep-tech startup platform launched by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The scheme is designed to discover, support, and scale startups specifically located in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities across India. By providing fiscal support and a robust mentorship framework, the initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and foster equitable technological growth beyond major metropolitan hubs. It focuses on nurturing grassroots innovation through a collaborative ecosystem involving incubators, accelerators, and government resources. The program seeks to create a sustainable pipeline of high-impact technology ventures that can contribute to India's digital economy goals while generating local employment and specialized tech expertise in smaller urban centers.
