Karnataka ePASS Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC Students

The Electronic Payment and Application System of Scholarships, or ePASS, is a dedicated online portal by the Government of Karnataka to facilitate the distribution of post-matric scholarships. Managed by the Department of Backward Classes Welfare, it targets students belonging to SC, ST, OBC, and economically backward categories. The scheme aims to reduce financial barriers to higher education by covering tuition fees, laboratory fees, and providing maintenance allowances directly to the students' Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. It supports diverse courses including professional, technical, and general degree programs. By digitizing the application and verification process, the portal ensures transparency and timely disbursement of funds to eligible candidates pursuing education across recognized institutions in the state of Karnataka.
