Karnataka ePASS Scholarship (Electronic Payment and Application System of Scholarships)

The Electronic Payment and Application System of Scholarships (ePASS) is a major initiative by the Government of Karnataka to provide financial assistance to students from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The scheme covers Post-Matric scholarships for students belonging to SC, ST, OBC, and Minority communities pursuing higher education in recognized institutions. It facilitates the smooth disbursement of tuition fees and maintenance allowances directly into student bank accounts. Managed by the Department of Backward Classes Welfare and the Social Welfare Department, the platform streamlines the application, verification, and approval process to ensure transparency. The primary objective is to reduce dropout rates by alleviating the financial burden of higher education including professional and technical courses, thereby fostering academic growth among underprivileged students across the state.
