PLI Scheme for Manufacturing MSMEs

The Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for MSMEs is designed to boost domestic manufacturing capabilities and increase export competitiveness. By providing financial incentives on incremental sales from products manufactured in India, the scheme encourages small and medium enterprises to scale their production capacities. Currently covering 14 key sectors including electronics, pharmaceuticals, and food processing, it aims to create global champions from the Indian MSME sector. The initiative focus is on high-growth potential industries, helping businesses offset infrastructural inefficiencies and high logistics costs. It fosters an integrated supply chain by rewarding value addition within the country, ensuring that MSMEs contribute significantly to the national goal of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' while generating large-scale employment opportunities across the manufacturing landscape.
