PM YASASVI Scholarship Scheme

The PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (YASASVI) is a comprehensive scholarship program initiated by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. It targets meritorious students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), and De-Notified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNT). The scheme provides financial assistance for schooling and higher education to ensure students from marginalized backgrounds can continue their academic pursuits without financial constraints. It covers two major components: the Top Class School Education for students in grades 9 and 11, and Top Class College Education for those pursuing professional courses in identified premier institutions. Selection is typically based on merit list or the YASASVI Entrance Test administered by the National Testing Agency, aiming to promote educational equity and socio-economic upliftment across India.
