Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) MSME Certification Scheme

The MSME Sustainable (ZED) Certification is a central government initiative to encourage Indian manufacturers to adopt global standards of quality and environmental consciousness. The scheme promotes a 'Zero Defect Zero Effect' culture to minimize production waste and environmental impact while enhancing product reliability. It offers third-party assessment and certification across three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. By participating, MSMEs can improve operational efficiency, become more competitive in international markets, and gain access to various incentives. The program provides substantial financial assistance for the certification process, including the cost of assessment and handholding, ensuring that small and medium enterprises can transition toward sustainable manufacturing practices without significant financial burden.
